I’d like to think of DIFC as an up and coming version of Citywalk. Chic and housing a number of well-known places to dine in Dubai. A recent visit led us to a hidden trattoria going by the name – Mercato.
‘Tis the season of Afternoon Teas, with the weather just right to sit outdoors and enjoy a cuppa! Continue reading “A Tea to Remember – The Palace, Downtown Dubai”
This is officially my first blog post for the year, and hopefully, there are many to follow. For all those following my social media accounts, Instagram mostly, you’ll know that I still exist and am totally not out of the picture like how the website would show. Rather, what I’ve started doing is carefully selecting restaurants to review and feature, especially those that really make it for me.
One such place was Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, located at The Address, Dubai Marina, a hotel that I’m not unfamiliar with. To sum it up, I’ve had some of the best experiences at their restaurants, and they’re truly worth a try. Continue reading “Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse – The Address, Dubai Marina”
This wasn’t our first time at Atlantis, The Palm, we are no strangers to its impeccable hospitality and its grand aura, yet every visit is always like the first time.
This time we were dining at Ronda Locatelli, which is under the acclaimed Michelin star Chef Giorgio Locatelli. Swatches of brown and orange decorate the place, and the ambiance is somewhat still and a little uncomfortable. Fortunately, the weather is pleasing outside and we decide to settle there. Steakhouses are not uncommon in Dubai, but there are very few that amaze us. The usual criteria to differentiate for us would be the quality of the meat, how it is sourced, and the fat content. Continue reading “Is Seafire your usual steakhouse?”
Since we’ve grown accustomed to the preferred way of having breakfast here – coffee and your way of eggs, we didn’t mind trying Ayam Elezz for a change. A tray of 10 items and a Lebanese affair we were promised. But how did it fare in terms of taste? Let’s find out… Continue reading “Breakfast at The Mall – Ayam Elezz”

Marina Social is one of our favorite restaurants in Dubai. Period. The fact that we’ve already visited twice before this review, bears testament to our love for it.
Located in Intercontinental, Dubai Marina which is host to venues like Accents and YNot Bar and Kitchen, Marina Social has left quite an impact in its one year reign. Continue reading “Is Marina Social the best restaurant in Dubai?”
It is no uncommon feat that a new restaurant opens its doors in Dubai every now and then. But what happens to those already prevailing, you may ask. They get sidetracked by the new, trendy ventures which almost have no authenticity of the cuisine served at all. It is when hidden gems that deserve so much more are lost and never heard of. This is a story similar to that of Cucina, located at JW Marriott Hotel Dubai. Continue reading “What’s cooking at Cucina?”
The onset of winter is the perfect excuse to start dining al fresco and we’ve come up with a perfect location for one of those late lunches out! Boxpark is home to a lot of homegrown ventures, joining these is the newly opened Meat n’ Fish which promises to offer a blend of Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, and Greek cuisines. Continue reading “Does Meat N’ Fish offer a Mediterranean taste?”
