Located in Wasl Vita, in a quaint little corner is The Coffee Club. Walk in, and you’re met with the delicious scent of coffee wafting around the café. First impressions always matter, and I decide I’m going to fall in love with this place.
Our chirpy and sweet server walks us through the menu, which is a wondrous mixture of Italian, American and even Thai dishes! My guest, who’s big on shakes and frappés, orders a Caramel Loaded Shake [AED 34]. No words to describe this one, just look below…
Our order consists of Mac and Cheese Croquettes [AED 28] and Chicken Quinoa Salad [AED 52] for starters, with Chicken Thai Green Curry [AED 49] and Double Cheese Bacon Burger [AED 64] for mains. All suggested by the server and suiting our requirements. While I preferred the Thai Curry for its subtle taste and creaminess (would have loved some spice in there too!), the Double Cheese and Bacon Burger weighed higher for the sister. ‘Cause who doesn’t love bacon, right?
As is the norm we both dive in for the dessert menu and choose the Red Velvet Pancakes with Raspberry Mascarpone [AED 55]. The description and picture were enough to lure us but they failed due to the hard texture of the pancakes.
My cup of flat white [AED 18] saved the day though…always rely on coffee, and you’ll never be disappointed!
If we’re going back: I’m a burger person so that section is what I’ll be turning to when I head to The Coffee Club next.
Wasl Vita Mall is home to a number of restaurants, which one is your favorite? Let me know your thoughts…
Until then, happy eating! xx
I’d like to think of DIFC as an up and coming version of Citywalk. Chic and housing a number of well-known places to dine in Dubai. A recent visit led us to a hidden trattoria going by the name – Mercato.

‘Tis the season of Afternoon Teas, with the weather just right to sit outdoors and enjoy a cuppa! Continue reading “A Tea to Remember – The Palace, Downtown Dubai”
This is officially my first blog post for the year, and hopefully, there are many to follow. For all those following my social media accounts, Instagram mostly, you’ll know that I still exist and am totally not out of the picture like how the website would show. Rather, what I’ve started doing is carefully selecting restaurants to review and feature, especially those that really make it for me.
One such place was Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, located at The Address, Dubai Marina, a hotel that I’m not unfamiliar with. To sum it up, I’ve had some of the best experiences at their restaurants, and they’re truly worth a try. Continue reading “Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse – The Address, Dubai Marina”
This wasn’t our first time at Atlantis, The Palm, we are no strangers to its impeccable hospitality and its grand aura, yet every visit is always like the first time.
This time we were dining at Ronda Locatelli, which is under the acclaimed Michelin star Chef Giorgio Locatelli. Swatches of brown and orange decorate the place, and the ambiance is somewhat still and a little uncomfortable. Fortunately, the weather is pleasing outside and we decide to settle there. Steakhouses are not uncommon in Dubai, but there are very few that amaze us. The usual criteria to differentiate for us would be the quality of the meat, how it is sourced, and the fat content. Continue reading “Is Seafire your usual steakhouse?”
Late night archives call for huge amounts of chocolate. There’s just something about the bar that takes you from feeling low to happy in a second. And while we’re dealing with deadlines, stress, and all the bad things in our lives, some chocolate doesn’t hurt, right?
And that is exactly why we have collaborated with an online premium chocolate seller – ChocoLak to fulfill all your chocolatey desires! Continue reading ““You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy Chocolate””
Since we’ve grown accustomed to the preferred way of having breakfast here – coffee and your way of eggs, we didn’t mind trying Ayam Elezz for a change. A tray of 10 items and a Lebanese affair we were promised. But how did it fare in terms of taste? Let’s find out… Continue reading “Breakfast at The Mall – Ayam Elezz”
Earlier, a dining experience would be measured by the taste of food and hospitality. Later, ambiance became an important factor. And now, interiors play a vital role in choosing where to dine. Continue reading “Breakfast Goals at Culinary Boutique”
Marina Social is one of our favorite restaurants in Dubai. Period. The fact that we’ve already visited twice before this review, bears testament to our love for it.
Located in Intercontinental, Dubai Marina which is host to venues like Accents and YNot Bar and Kitchen, Marina Social has left quite an impact in its one year reign. Continue reading “Is Marina Social the best restaurant in Dubai?”
