Also popular for serving sheesha, QD’s provides comfortable seating areas and a vibrant atmosphere that is perfect for large groups.

I was invited to the restaurant for an Iftar last week. Since I arrived a bit after 7 pm, the buffet was crowded with people trying to fill their plates before the call for breaking fast. I noticed how nicely the food was arranged and also that they had an Arabic as well as Indian cuisine for the day.

Getting right to the food, the starters consisted of salads such as Tabouleh and Fattoush. The hot mezze included samosas, kibbeh, chicken wings, bread pakora, fried calamari rings and rolls stuffed with cheese.

My favorites were the samosas, bread pakora and cheese rolls (I’m a sucker for cheese!)

Coming to the main course, I loved the kebabs and shish tawook. QD’s certainly has it’s grills game on point! Sadly there was only one live station. The one with shawarmas. Nevertheless, these were also one of my favorites that night.

Additionally, the main course includedย Chicken Biryani that tasted mediocre. They could really use some more spices there. They also tried a hand at serving Macaroni Bechamelย that didn’t work quite well with me.

The dessert section was quite a huge one! With puddings and mousse served in small jars, cakes and some Arabic sweets, this was spot on!

I enjoyed my jar of Chocolate Mousse, which was creamy and soft. The Ras Malai, wasn’t too sweet or rubbery. The cheesecake was one of the best I’ve had. The cream cheese was a thick layer that wasn’t overly sweet, but not too bland as well.

To wash this deliciously huge meal down, I finished my dinner with a Mochaccino. One definitely needs coffee after all this! ๐Ÿ˜€

Looking at QD’s menu, there are a lot of things I want to try. Which obviously states my second visit to the place soon! ๐Ÿ˜€
