What’s cooking at Cucina?

It is no uncommon feat that a new restaurant opens its doors in Dubai every now and then. But what happens to those already prevailing, you may ask. They get sidetracked by the new, trendy ventures which almost have no authenticity of the cuisine served at all. It is when hidden gems that deserve so much more are lost and never heard of. This is a story similar to that of Cucina, located at JW Marriott Hotel Dubai. Continue reading “What’s cooking at Cucina?”

Does Meat N’ Fish offer a Mediterranean taste?

The onset of winter is the perfect excuse to start dining al fresco and we’ve come up with a perfect location for one of those late lunches out! Boxpark is home to a lot of homegrown ventures, joining these is the newly opened Meat n’ Fish which promises to offer a blend of Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, and Greek cuisines.  Continue reading “Does Meat N’ Fish offer a Mediterranean taste?”

Does this Mexican venue make you go Loco?

Last week, we took a drive to The Beach to this rustic establishment called Poco Loco. The walls painted in various colours and a vibe that will almost make you stand up and dance to the Spanish tunes playing. Almost. Most of the time, these ventures are packed with crowds which contribute to the lively ambience factor, unfortunately, the place was empty when we visited. What’s in the name Paper Fig?

Our recent breakfast was at Paper Fig, located in University City, Sharjah. What looks like a usual building from the outside, is a contrast with its interiors. Brunch Review: Accents -Intercontinental, Dubai Marina

We are suckers for brunch on weekends. It gives us an excuse to wake up late and spend those lazy hours eating. There’s a whole page dedicated to brunch spots in Dubai, which you can visit here.

So last weekend, we headed to the Funusual Brunch at Accents, Intercontinental Hotel. The brunch promises multi cuisine food on display, some live stations, and booze, of course, like how the meal is done here. All for a price of AED 445. (AED 295 for soft beverages is the one we opted for) Continue reading “Brunch Review: Accents -Intercontinental, Dubai Marina”

Fine Dining or Casual Eatery? Bread Street Kitchen, Atlantis

When Gordon Ramsay announced the opening of his new restaurant, Bread Street Kitchen (BSK), last year, many of us who have been watching the Chef on our television sets from childhood, rejoiced. Gordon, who is popular for starring in Hell’s Kitchen and Masterchef is also the owner of BSK in London.

The venture here is situated in Atlantis, The Palm which needs no introduction to anyone living in the U.A.E. The restaurant hosted full tables with most of the crowd from The West, we could also spot a couple of tables with Arabs seated. Not bad for a weekday! Continue reading “Fine Dining or Casual Eatery?
